WHSmith, Holland & Barrett and Boots are among the retailers encouraging staff affected by store closures and redundancies announced by The Body Shop to apply for current job vacancies.
The retailers reached out on LinkedIn to employees of the ethical beauty retailer who might be impacted by the mass restructuring of the chain’s UK business.
On Tuesday, Administrators at FRP said it would be closing nearly half of The Body Shop’s 198 stores and around 40% of head office jobs to “support a simplified business”.

WHSmith said in a LinkedIn post: “We are sad to hear that The Body Shop will be closing some of its UK stores and we’re keen to do what we can to support our fellow retail colleagues who are now facing an uncertain future.
“We have a range of roles available across our business in both travel and high street stores as well as our support centres and we want to hear from you.”
Similarly, Holland & Barrett said: “We understand that the recent news regarding store closures may feel concerning. We deeply appreciate your dedication and commitment to The Body Shop over the years and we want to do everything we can to support you during this challenging time.
“We are inviting all colleagues who are at risk of redundancy to apply for our vacancies at Holland & Barrett across all business areas, including but not limited to retail, commerce functions, product and tech, and finance.”
Boots said in a LinkedIn post: “We are sorry to hear of the news regarding The Body Shop this week.
“We are inviting Body Shop team members who are affected to apply for one of our open vacancies across our retail, beauty, support office and supply functions. We hope to help as many people as possible start a new chapter in their careers.”
